HUISHENGSTONE
Resin-Bound Installation Guide
Overview
This guide provides a safe planning structure for ROCBIND resin-bound stone test areas. Project suitability depends on the substrate, climate, installation thickness, drainage, and product specification.
Suitable Applications
Small test areas, sample panels, contractor mockups, patio and pathway planning, and project review before larger material orders.
Required Tools
Use appropriate mixing, measuring, spreading, troweling, cleaning, and personal protective equipment recommended for your resin-bound system.
Substrate Requirements
The base should be stable, clean, dry, compacted, and drainable. Do not install over unstable, wet, contaminated, or poorly drained surfaces.
Environmental Conditions
Temperature, humidity, rain, wind, sunlight, and substrate moisture can affect working time and curing. Confirm project-specific limits from the current TDS before installation.
Material Preparation
Review the product label, SDS, and TDS before opening materials. Do not begin installation until all tools, materials, and protection are ready.
Mixing Procedure
Follow the current product-specific instructions for resin, hardener, binder, and aggregate mixing. Do not guess resin ratio, hardener ratio, or mixing time.
Application Thickness
Application thickness must be confirmed from the current product specification and project requirements. Coverage estimates are not a substitute for technical data.
Troweling and Finishing
Spread material evenly and finish with suitable resin-bound tools. Installer technique affects final texture, compaction, drainage, and appearance.
Working Time and Curing Time
Working time and curing time depend on product formula and site conditions. Confirm the current TDS before installation.
Maintenance
Keep the installed surface clean and avoid harsh treatment before full cure. Maintenance requirements depend on final system specification and site use.
Common Installation Mistakes
- Installing on a wet, unstable, or poorly drained base.
- Using unconfirmed resin ratios or mixing times.
- Ignoring weather and temperature conditions.
- Assuming screen color matches final installed appearance.
- Scaling a test result to a full project without confirming material requirements.
Safety and PPE
Wear suitable gloves, eye protection, work clothing, and ventilation. Review SDS before opening resin or binder components.
Download SDS / TDS
Only current, product-specific documents should be used. Contact ROCBIND if you need SDS, TDS, or project documentation.
Contact Technical Support
Send project photos, dimensions, intended use, substrate details, and delivery location when requesting technical support.
